WOMEN PLEAD GUILTY TO KILLING MAN DURING STREET ALTERCATION

In July 2026 Trinity Thompson, 24, and Zavia Jeter, 25, were sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to involuntary manslaughter in the death of 31-year-old Daniel Vergara in Charlotte, NC.

Daniel was killed in December 2020 during a physical altercation on Valcourt Road; there was an alleged robbery occurring. Around 8 at night, cops were called to the scene regarding Daniel potentially in need of medical attention.

Daniel was found on the ground with apparent trauma. Daniel was transported to the hospital with life threatening injuries. A few days later, Daniel died.

A year later in December 2021 Zavia and Trinity were arrested charged with Daniel’s murder. The charges were later reduced to involuntary manslaughter and the female suspects pled guilty. They have a minimum of 13 months in prison and a maximum of 25 months.
