Briana Watkins, 35, was killed on August 21, 2026 after a DWI crash. Jeffrey Almond, 35, is charged with killing Briana in the DWI crash that occurred on WT Harris Blvd Charlotte, NC. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
On August 18, 2026 Briana was driving on WT Harris when Jeffrey was in a separate car and came crashing into Briana. The crash severed Briana’s vehicle. Jeffrey was arrested on scene charged with DWI.
Briana went into respiratory arrest per the collision and she required emergency extraction from the vehicle. Intubation was established on Briana to secure a patent airway, and the administration of continuous cardiopulmonary resuscitation during ambulance transport to the hospital.
Further medical evaluation and emergency surgical intervention on Briana revealed she had a collapsed lung from the crash. After days in the hospital on life support, Briana was declared brain dead and died on August 20, 2026. The suspect’s charges will now be upgraded to manslaughter or murder since Briana died.
