A woman accused of performing a butt enlargement procedure that nearly killed her patient faces felony charges.
Ena Boulton, 60, was arrested on October 3, 2019 after she injected the booty of Mariela Alonso, 33, with a synthetic filler that caused speech impairment, motor skills deficiency and contracture deformities, according to an arrest warrant. The filler, Bio Alcamid, is not approved by the Food and Drug Administration.
Mariela allegedly paid Ena $800 to perform the cosmetic booty surgery at a Miami, FL home in August 2018. Ena injected Mariela twice in the buttocks, but before the injections Ena gave Mariela medication. The medication and injections had an adverse effect on Mariela.
The procedure was done in a bedroom as Mariela lay face down in the bed, and she was orally given what was allegedly some type of medication prior to the procedure. Ena administered two injections into Mariela’s booty, one into each side of her glutes.
“Mariela subsequently began experiencing severe pain, and Ena advised her to drink sugared water,” Detective Kinshun Mui wrote.“ She began to vomit blood, and Ena told her that she was okay.”
On Aug. 30, 2018, Mariela had been placed in a medically induced coma, which included no brain activity. Thankfully Mariela had woke up from the coma on Nov. 5, 2018. Mariela confirmed that Ena gave her booty injections.
Ena is charged with practicing without a medical license and unlicensed practice of a health care profession causing serious injury.
