WOMAN CHARGED WITH MURDERING MAN NEAR WEST BLVD.

Shamika Simmons, 28, was arrested on August 23, 2021. Shamika is charged with the murder of Matthew Simmons, 54, that occured in Charlotte, NC.

Matthew was killed on August 21, 2021 during a shooting on Brooksvale Street. The shooting was near midnight. Matthew was pronounced deceased on the scene.

Shamika was identified as a suspect in this case and warrants were issued for her arrest. She is charged with 1st-degree murder.
