Jury duty led to this woman getting arrested
Desemaj Dixon, 24, was arrested on May 6, 2025 accused of not reporting to jury duty in Charlotte, NC. Follow our new Instagram page.
Desemaj was ordered to report for jury duty on various dates in 2024, but court officials say she never showed up.
Court administrators then told a judge of the no shows, and the judge issued a warrant for Desemaj’s arrest. The judge noted a failure to report for jury duty as directed pursuant to a jury summons.
Desemaj was arrested charged with show cause. She was given a $500 unsecured bond. See more court news here.
