New video shows when Darne Ricks, 32, fired shots at police in St. Louis, Missouri.
Police attempted to pull over Darne on May 28, 2021 in relation to an armed robbery investigation.
Once police activated their traffic stop lights, Darne left the scene in a vehicle at a high rate of speed.
After a few minutes into the chase, Darne exits the vehicle on foot and shoots at police. One officer is shot in the face.
Another officer moves forward and returns fire. Darne was not shot, but he was arrested on the same day and charged with two counts of assault, resisting arrest, and armed criminal action.
The injured officer sustained serious injuries and received treatment at the hospital.
