VIDEO: PLOUTOS RAIDED AND SHUTDOWN BY FEDERAL OFFICIALS, $95,000 SEIZED

On February 10, 2023, detectives executed search warrants at two fish table arcades located at 6233 Old Sugar Creek Road and 5744 North Tryon Street, both in Charlotte, NC. One of the raided locations was Ploutos. Ploutos is a very popular gambling spot for people in Charlotte.

Each location was open and patrons were actively gambling inside. Armed security guards who were allegedly not licensed to perform armed security were present at each location. 

Approximately $95,000 was seized between the two locations and more than 170 alleged gambling machines were disabled.

Two misdemeanor warrants were served for individuals unrelated to illegal gambling. Both security guards were charged with providing armed security without a license.Charlotte police along with agents with the North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement, and Department of Homeland Security Investigations teamed up to raid the businesses.

Both establishments were shutdown.
