Video shows this cop screaming in pain after being shot and dropped by a bullet with his name on it
Newly released video shows the moments Officer S. Durfee was shot by suspects during a home invasion in Houston, Texas in front of 2 children and their 26-year-old mother. Officer Durfee is with the Houston Police Department.
The shooting occurred on September 17, 2024. Three suspects drove up to a house in a Dodge Charger vehicle at 9 a.m. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
2 suspects got out and pretended to be Door Dash employees delivering food. The 26-year-old female victim answered the door and told them she didn’t order food.
The suspects proceeded to barge in with guns drawn. The suspects hog tied the woman up and made her toddler aged children get on the ground. Click here to see more home invasion articles.
The suspects began to rummage through the house stealing valuables. A neighbor saw what happened and called police.
Within 4 minutes police responded to the scene while the suspects were still inside. Officer Durfee and another cop enter the home. One of the suspects shoots Officer Durfee in the leg, the officer goes to the ground immediately and screams in pain.
The officer returned fire multiple times, but the suspect was not shot. The suspect ran away through a back window. The second suspect was handcuffed by cops.
The third suspect stayed in the vehicle and drove off. The shot cop was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
Raymond Perez, 35, is identified as the trigger man that shot the cop, he was arrested a few blocks away from the scene, charged with aggravated assault against a public servant, aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon and unlawful carrying of a weapon.
Michael Perez, 38, was in the home and arrested on scene. Brian Garcia Chavez, 18, was identified as the driver that fled, he was arrested several hours afterwards and charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.
