Court surveillance video shows Oregon murder suspect Edi Villalobos, 28, running from cops in a court escape on February 27, 2023 in Oregon, Washington.
Edi was in court for a double homicide trial, where he was the suspect. Cops are seen taking the shackles off of Edi and the handcuffs.
Once Edi is handcuff free, he pretends to grab a chair to take a seat, but then he ran out of the court room at a high rate of speed.
Court police pursue Edi, but he was already 12 yards ahead of cops. Edi runs down stairs and right out the doors of the court building, steadily gaining a lead from the slower moving police.
Edi was able to run fast enough to get out of sight of police. Cops lost Edi and a 2 hour search began. Edi ran into an apartment complex and broke into an apartment that was empty.
A neighbor called police and said they saw Edi breaking into an apartment. Police came to the apartment unit and found Edi in a closet under a blanket a few hours after his majestic court escape.
Edi was arrested and taken back to jail.
