Video: Cop gets hit by Dodge Charger, finds out hard way street take overs are the real deal. Cop’s name is Officer Hatoff, well he got his hat knocked off. When you think you’re the boss of the road, but a Dodge Charger says otherwise
Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department Officer S. Hatoff was hit by a car during a street take over in Charlotte, NC on March 1, 2026. Tanaezah Austin, 25, is the alleged driver that ran over the cop. Charlotte Alerts is on Instagram.
The incident occurred on Smith Farm Road. A street take over was going on when concerned motorists called 911 to the scene. Cops arrived and tried to stop the event, but participants continued driving in circles fast and making burnout maneuvers in front of cops.
Officer Hatoff decided to be a hero and get in the way of vehicles, a fast moving Dodge Charger then ran over Officer Hatoff, knocking him right off his feet. Dodge Chargers are often associated with crimes.
The driver then fled the scene. Officer Hatoff was hospitalized after getting ran over. Tanaezah was the alleged driver and was later arrested charged with assault on officer.
