VICTIM IN FIERY CRASH WAS FORMER WEST MECKLENBURG HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT

Date:

Former West Meck High School student Christian Lanier, 21, was killed in a fiery crash on Brookshire Boulevard Charlotte, NC.

On Sunday, July 14, 2019 at 2:41 a.m., Chris was in a 2019 Audi Q5. The vehicle was being driven at a high rate of speed when it lost control and flipped.

Chris and 3 vehicle occupants were ejected from the vehicle, none of them were wearing seat belts. The Audi Q5 eventually caught fire from the cataclysmic impact.

Excessive speed is a contributing factor to this crash and drug use is suspected, officials say.
