Alexandra Ramirez, 19, and Kiara Nunez, 21, were arrested on August 24, 2020 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The women are charged with federal offenses that include sex trafficking minors.
Federal prosecutors say Alexandra and Kiara sex trafficked two 15-year-old girls from October 2019 through February 2020. Both minor girls were allegedly forced to have sex for money at an Airbnb in Lake Worth, FL. The suspects are also accused of posting sexually explicit photos of the girls on websites used to advertise for prostitution.
Both of the children had been reported missing by their families.
Federal prosecutors allege that the suspects sold the female children for sex, and rented Airbnbs almost a dozen times so that clients and victims could meet. When one of the victim girls didn’t want to participate, the suspects plied her with pills, federal prosecutors say.
