FARMER ACCUSED OF RAPING AND MURDERING YOUNG NURSE

Quake Lewellyn, 28, is charged with the murder of Sydney Sutherland, 25, in Jackson County, Arkansas. Quake was arrested on August 21, 2020, he was an award winning farmer with several plots of land. Sydney was a dedicated nurse.

Quake is charged capital murder, rape, and kidnapping.

On August 19, 2020 Sydney went for a jog and then was never seen alive again. She was last seen jogging in the area of State Highway 18 around 2:30 p.m. Quake allegedly drove up to Sydney and forced her in his truck. Quake then allegedly raped and murdered Sydney.

On August 21 authorities found Sydney’s body buried in a open field. DNA testing identified her body. Quake was arrested shortly after Sydney’s body was found.

Authorities say Quake admitted to kidnapping, raping ,and killing Sydney.
