On December 31, 2020 detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Homicide Unit classified 16-year-old Vontairius Doster’s death as a justified homicide.
Vontairius was shot and killed on July 13, 2020 on Griffith Street Charlotte NC.
The Mecklenburg County District Attorney’s Office has reviewed the case and agreed that the death of Vontairius was justified and made the decision not to charge anyone in this case.
Vontairius was at the Southside Homes Apartment complex when he was shot. Vontairius was rushed to the hospital by friends, but he died at the hospital.
