On September 12, 2019 Tyler Hokes, 19, was arrested and charged in the murder of Carnis Poindexter, 43.
Others have also been charged in the murder.
On January 1, 2019 Carnis was shot at multiple times on Highlander Court at 3 in the morning. Upon being shot Carnis ran to the front porch of his residence, where he collapsed and died.
