SUSPECT PLEADS GUILTY TO MURDERING 7-ELEVEN EMPLOYEE

On April 19, 2022, Geoffrey Ford, 48, pled guilty to the second degree murder of Khaled Mohammad Elmerkabaoui in Charlotte, NC.

Khaled was a employee at the 7-Eleven convenience store on Westinghouse Boulevard in Charlotte, NC. On December 9, 2017 Geoffrey stormed into the store and gunned Khaled down, shooting and killing him.

Khaled did not put up any resistance to Geoffrey. Judge Alan Z. Thornburg sentenced Geoffrey to 300-372 months in prison.
