SUSPECT ONLY GETS 4 YEARS IN PRISON FOR MURDER

Anthony Walker, 31, was sentenced to just 4-6 years in prison on August 19, 2024 for the Charlotte, NC homicide of 40-year-old Daimeon Johnson.

Daimeon was murdered during a shooting on April 28, 2019 during a party on Catherine Simmons Avenue. A fight broke out at the party and Daimeon tried to break it up. That is when Anthony shot and killed Daimeon. 

Officers responded to the shooting and located Daimeon shot. He was transported to Atrium Health Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Anthony was sentenced to 4 to 6 years in prison.
