Rory Montgomery was killed on Thanksgiving night 2020 in Charlotte, NC. On December 8, 2020 Deronald Bailey, 33, was charged with Rory’s murder. Deronald was arrested in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Deronald is accused of shooting and killing Rory on South Gardner Avenue at 9:30 p.m. on November 26, 2020. Rory was pronounced deceased on the scene.
Concerted efforts between detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Violent Criminal Apprehension Team, the United States Secret Service, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Little Rock Police Department resulted in the arrest of Deronald in Little Rock, Arkansas.
He will be served his outstanding warrants for murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon when he has been extradited back to Charlotte, North Carolina.
