A shootout at Carolina Place Mall left one person with life-threatening injuries. The shooting was on May 1, 2021 inside the Carolina Place Mall in Pineville, NC.
Several people were involved in an altercation and began shooting at each other for unknown reasons. One person has been transported to the hospital with life threatening injuries.
The shooting sent flurries of people running trying to exit the mall. More people may have been shot too. Details are forthcoming.
The investigation is ongoing and no suspect is in custody at this time.
