POLICE OFFICER SHOT DURING FBI WARRANT EXECUTION OF SUSPECT

A FBI task force officer was shot while serving a warrant on a suspect

On November 1, 2019, at approximately 6:00 a.m. FBI Safe Streets Task Force members were executing a search warrant related to an ongoing criminal investigation at 4515 Oakburn Drive in Charlotte, North Carolina.

As agents and officers approached the home, shots were fired and a officer was shot. Multiple shots were fired. A person at the home was detained. The officer shot was also part of the FBI Safe Streets Task Force. The officer’s name hasn’t yet been released.

The officer’s injuries are non-life threatening. The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation and Federal Bureau of Investigation are conducting a joint investigation.
