PAINTING CONTRACTOR KILLED IN TRUCK CRASH, VEHICLE SLAMMED INTO HOUSE

Mark Carden, 58, was killed on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, on The Plaza Charlotte, NC. Mark was a painting and wallpaper contractor for over 20 years.

At 5:43 p.m. Mark was driving a Chevrolet Silverado truck on The Plaza. Mark lost control veered off the right side of the roadway, struck a guide wire, side swiped a tree and then ran head on into a residence.

4 contractors were killed in Charlotte in a fiery crash

It is believed Mark had a medical emergency that led to him driving off the road. Emergency personnel discovered Mark unresponsive in the driver’s seat of the vehicle.

Medic transported Mark to Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased, authorities say.

No one was in the residence during the crash.
