ONE PERSON KILLED AFTER VEHICLE RUNS HEAD ON INTO CITY BUS ON INTERSTATE 77

On February 20, 2021 a single victim was killed after a massive collision with a Charlotte Area Transportation System bus on the I-77 highway. A passenger vehicle was traveling in the wrong direction on the I-77 express lanes near Sunset Road in Charlotte NC; the vehicle and the bus then collided head on.

Officials say there were no passengers on the bus at the time of the crash. The driver of the passenger vehicle died on the scene. Toxicology results have not been analyzed. The bus driver was transported to the hospital with injuries. 

In May 2020 a bus driver in Charlotte allegedly ran over Michael Skelton, 58, on North Tryon Street Charlotte, NC.

Also, in 2019 TB Moss, 57, was arrested for his alleged involvement in shooting a city of Charlotte bus driver at the victim’s job.
