Suspects arrested in connection to a large scale child sex crimes and human trafficking operation
On February 19, 2021 authorities in Phoenix, AZ took down nearly 40 suspects in a undercover child sex operation known as ‘Operation Broken Hearts’. Many of the arrests occurred in the Phoenix area.
Officials say Operation Broken Hearts was an undercover operation targeting alleged sexual predators engaged in child sex crimes and human trafficking. Throughout the operational period, officers and undercover detectives placed ads on websites and apps which are commonly sought out by suspects seeking illegal sex acts with children.
These suspects allegedly solicited and/or brokered deals for various sex acts and were subsequently arrested, according to officials.
