NFL STAR RECHE CALDWELL KILLED AT HOME IN TAMPA DURING SHOOTING

Date:

Former NFL wide receiver Reche Caldwell, 41, was shot and killed at his home in Tampa, FL on June 6, 2020 around 11 p.m.

Reche was ambushed and shot in a possible attempted robbery. Several people jumped out of bushes and shot Reche in the front yard of his home. The victim was transported to the hospital by paramedics, but eventually died. No arrests have been made yet.

Reche played football for the University of Florida before he was drafted by the NFL in 2002. He played for the San Diego Chargers for 4 seasons and then played for the New England Patriots with Tom Brady in 2006. Reche had two key drops in the AFC championship game that year with the Patriots.

The Patriots lost that game and within months picked up super star wide receiver Randy Moss as a replacement for Reche.
