9 AMAZON EMPLOYEES IN CHARLOTTE INFECTED WITH CORONAVIRUS

Two Amazon workers at a Charlotte, NC facility tested positive for COVID-19 in early June 2020. However, there have been a total of 9 Amazon employees in Charlotte that have become sickened with the Coronavirus.

In April 2020 seven Amazon employees in Charlotte caught the Coronavirus.

The employees from this week’s Coronavirus infection work at DLT1 Amazon delivery station at 830 Parrott Drive in west Charlotte. Amazon employees are asked to stay home while infected with the Coronavirus, Amazon says that employees with the Coronavirus are paid while they are at home in quarantine.

Amazon spokesman Timothy Carter released this statement:

“Like most global companies, we’ve had employees affected by this, and we’re doing all that we can to protect our employees and take the proper precautions as stated in WHO guidelines.”

Amazon says employees are required to wear masks. Amazon also says regular testing of all employees for COVID-19 are being conducted. Amazon has more than 500,000 employees in the United States alone.
