Genesys Rice, 18, was shot and killed on May 6, 2023 in Simpsonville, SC. Akevius Lindsey, 22, is charged with her murder. Genesys and Akevius share one child together.
Genesys was shot in the head at Jasmine Cove apartments during a domestic violence situation. Police responded to a shots fired call and found Genesys dead on the bed.
Genesys is leaving behind two beautiful young daughters – ages 3 months and 2 years old.
Akevius was arrested and charged with murder, domestic violence and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.
Akevius was denied bond on all charges.
