Cherez was accused of going armed to the terror of people
On August 9, 2025 a shooting erupted at a back to school event at the C.W. Williams Community Health Center on Wilkinson Boulevard Charlotte, NC. Cherez Davis, 34, was arrested accused of shooting the gun.

Hundreds of people were at the back to school event. An argument began between Cherez’s son and another boy. Another adult intervened and a fight started.
Cherez then pulled out a gun from her purse and fired off several shots, the fight ended instantly following the shots.
The crowd ran in a panic, including small children. Cherez was arrested on scene. She is charged with going armed to the terror of the people and carrying concealed weapon without a permit.
