Charles Combs, 35, is accused of murdering his ex-girlfriend LaPorscha Baldwin, 30. On Sunday, October 10, 2021, LaPorscha was reported missing, she was last seen in Charlotte, NC.
On October 16, 2021, LaPorscha was found deceased in Fairfield County, SC.
Charles was then arrested in Myrtle Beach, SC, by the Myrtle Beach Police Department. Charlotte homicide detectives traveled to Myrtle Beach, SC, and interviewed Charles, at the conclusion of the interview, Charles was transferred to the custody of the J. Reuben Long Detention Center in Horry County, SC. He will await extradition to Mecklenburg County.
