On November 18, 2022 25-year-old Jahreese Jones was charged with first degree murder after his sister Miyonna Jones, 16, was found dead in Pender County, NC.
Miyonna went missing in Wilmington, NC on November 2, 2022. Miyonna was found dead on November 17, 2022 in a land fill. Miyonna was in a gruesome state. It is unknown if she was shot or strangled.
Miyonna vanished after she was last seen on South 7th Street in Wilmington. Jahresse was Miyonna’s brother. Jahresse was charged with Miyonna’s murder.
Pender County cops say:
“This case has taken a mental toll on our officers and for others directly involved. We will be following departmental protocols and will be referring personnel to outside specialists for mental health care.”
