Ronny Briones Melgara, 18, was arrested on March 6, 2026 charged with murdering Anthony Santos in Charlotte, NC.
Anthony died on January 4, 2026. Ronny was driving a Kia car that was allegedly stolen. Anthony was a passenger in the Kia.
Ronny lost control of the car on Shamrock Drive near Eastway Drive and crashed into a telephone pole and a tree. Anthony died on the scene.
Ronny was injured and taken to the hospital. Ronny has a chipped head, it is not known if that injury was from the crash or something prior. Ronny was arrested in March 2026 after being released form the hospital charged with murder, larceny, and possessing a stolen car.
