MAN SHOT AND KILLED, DISTRICT ATTORNEY RULES JUSTIFIED HOMICIDE

Lemuel Gipson, 27, was shot and killed in Charlotte, NC. On March 30, 2022 the case was ruled as a justified homicide by detectives and the Mecklenburg County District Attorney’s Office. So, the person that killed Lemuel will not face any criminal prosecution and gets off free.

Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Homicide Unit have classified this case as a justified homicide. The Mecklenburg County District Attorney’s Office consulted with the Homicide Unit and concurred with detectives’ decision not to charge anyone in this case.

Lemuel was shot and killed on January 31, 2022 on Ivy Meadow Drive Charlotte, NC. Medic responded to the scene and transported Lemuel to Atrium Health Hospital.

But Lemuel later succumbed to his injuries and hospital staff pronounced him deceased.
