An adult male was murdered in Charlotte during a violent home invasion, shot in chest
Quavon Strother, 20, and Maiseo Caldwell, 22, admitted to murdering Cordarrell Houston, 36, during a home invasion in Charlotte, NC. The suspects pled guilty on March 19, 2026. Quavon was just a teenager when the crime occurred.
In March 2024 Quavon and Maiseo broke into Cordarrell’s home on Toddville Road. The suspects shot Cordarrell in the chest twice during the home invasion.
The victim died on scene. The suspects were later arrested and charged with murder. In March 2026 both suspects pled guilty to second degree murder and conspiracy to commit burglary.
Both were sentenced to 125 to 162 months in prison with credit for nearly two years already served.
