There have been 3 murders in Charlotte, all during the star studded NBA ALL-Star Weekend. The Queen City is not use to this many homicides in one weekend.
28-year-old Ervin Steward was shot and killed near Onyx strip club on Minuet Lane on February 17.
The homicide occurred around 1:30 a.m.
After the shots rang out, a friend of Ervin drove him a few blocks away from the scene to Seventy Seven Center Drive. Paramedics arrived and transported Ervin to Carolinas Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased.
The first homicide during NBA All Star Weekend 2019 involved a crazed man.
The second homicide during the same event involved a man shot in a SUV.
