MAN KILLED IN WRONG WAY HIGHWAY CRASH

43-year-old Marvine Willis died on May 6, 2023 in a wrong way crash on I-696 in Detroit, Michigan. The wrong way driver was also killed.

Marvine was returning from work driving on I-696 in his 2022 Ford F-150 truck at 4:30 a.m. A wrong way driver operating a 2013 Jeep then struck Marvine head on. Both vehicles were traveling in the center right lane. Marvine and the wrong way driver were killed in the crash.

Impairment for the wrong way driver is suspected.
