A man was running in Charlotte when a Chevy Impala plowed into him, killing him
Lance Sotelo, 25, was killed on January 14, 2026 in Charlotte, NC. Q’Laundra Hood, 28, is charged with his death.
Lance was jogging on The Plaza near 36th Street. A Chevrolet Impala driven by Q’laundra ran a red light at the intersection and struck Lance.
The suspect fled the scene. Upon arrival, officers located a severely injured pedestrian identified as Lance. He died on scene.
On Jan. 15th Q’Laundra felt guilty and turned herself in at police headquarters. She was arrested charged with felony hit and run, involuntary manslaughter, no operator’s license, and failing to stop at a red light.
Lance had no insurance and had just started a new job.
