Freddy Kasongo, 47, was killed on January 29, 2023 after being ran over by a tow truck in Charlotte, NC.
On January 29th at 1:56 a.m., Freddy was walking on West W. T. Harris Boulevard, Freddy then attempted to cross the travel lanes and was struck by a Ford F-450 tow truck.
The pedestrian was allegedly not in a crosswalk at the point of impact. Lighting conditions in the crash location were dark.
Medic arrived on scene and pronounced Freddy deceased. The driver of the tow truck did not sustain any injuries and remained on scene.
No criminal charges are expected to be filed against the tow truck driver.
