Sheronda La Shanetta Woody Wilson, 33, died on August 6, 2023 after a brutal vehicular collision on Pineville-Matthews Road Charlotte, NC. Gregory Rhoads, 26, is charged with Sheronda’s murder, cops say.
The crash was on Sunday, August 6, 2023, at approximately 10:09 p.m., on Pineville-Matthews Road.
Gregory was driving a Infiniti vehicle on Pineville Matthews Road allegedly at a high rate of speed. A Charlotte cop observed a speeding vehicle and activated emergency lights and siren in order to conduct a traffic stop.
Just prior to the CMPD officer catching up to the Infiniti, the Infiniti struck the passenger side of an Acura vehicle.
The impact of the crash caused the Acura to slide off the right side of the roadway into nearby brush.
Sheronda was a passenger in the Acura, she died from the accident injuries at the hospital.Gregory was sent to the hospital with serious injuries. After his release from the hospital, Gregory was arrested charged with murder, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, possession of marijuana, possession with intent to sell and distribute, maintaining a place to keep a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
