Santa was a grandmother with a large family. On April 3, 2019 Santa and her husband were shot at a residence on Newland Road Charlotte, NC. Santa died at the scene and her husband was taken to the hospital, his condition is unknown.
On April 5 detectives located and arrested Tomka charging him with first degree murder, attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
A 64-year-old grandmother was killed in Charlotte in January.
