On September 1, 2021 John Carrington, 53, was arrested and taken into custody charged with the murder of his mother 71-year-old Johnetta Wormley in Prince George County, Maryland.
On August 29, 2021, at approximately 1:55 pm, officers responded to a home on Brinkley Road in Prince George County for a safety check. When officers arrived, they discovered Johnetta inside of her home suffering from trauma. She was pronounced dead on the scene.
Johnetta had been strangled to death. Homicide Unit detectives obtained a murder arrest warrant for John.
Days later John was arrested in Washington, D.C. and charged with murder.
