Detectives with the Homicide Unit are conducting a investigation after a dead body was found in a lake on September 21, 2021 on Village Lake Drive Charlotte, NC.
In the afternoon officers responded to a check the welfare 911 call on Village Lake Drive. Upon arrival, officers observed a dead body floating in a body of water. With assistance from the Charlotte Fire Department, the body was removed from the water and pronounced deceased by officers shortly after.
As is standard procedure for any sudden or unexpected death, the Homicide Unit detectives responded to the scene to conduct the investigation along with the Crime Scene Search team.
