FEDERAL AGENT KILLS MAN AT BAR, DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY

30-year-old Donald Janvier (Seen here) was shot to death at the hands of a federal agent from the Department of Homeland Security. The shooting transpired at the Tropix Bar and Lounge.

Early this morning at 1:55 a.m., Department of Homeland Security and North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement Agents were conducting an inspection at the Tropix Bar and Lounge located at 4701 North Tryon Street.

As agents were conducting their inspection, a fight occurred inside of the bar. Patrons and employees came outside to the parking lot where the disturbance continued.

Donald got into a vehicle and drove towards a federal homeland security agent and hit him with the vehicle. The federal agent subsequently fired his service weapon at Donald. The agent killed Donald.

The agent sustained minor injuries and was transported by Medic. No shots were fired by CMPD Officers. Medic responded and pronounced Donald deceased on scene.
