Another Family Dollar employee has been arrested on theft from company charges, employee’s actual name is Innocent, but from the looks of it she may be guilty today
Kailyn Innocent Wimpel, 22, was arrested on February 20, 2026 accused of stealing cash from Family Dollar. Kailyn is an employee at the Family Dollar on North Tryon Street in Charlotte, NC.
Kailyn and a manager counted the money in a deposit bag and it totaled at $3,806. The money was put in a secured office and into a locked safe.
Kailyn transferred the money into the Smart Safe. The Smart Safe counts bill for bill from the deposit bag and produces a deposit slip.
The next day the manager pulled the deposit slip, and it totaled to $3,415 which is around $400 short from the $3,806 that was counted with the manager from the same money deposit bag on the previous night shift.
Kailyn allegedly admitted to stealing the cash, and that she has done it more than once. Kailyn was arrested charged with larceny by employee.
