On December 20, 2022 Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department Officer Dean Lauber died at an hospital in Charlotte, NC due to medical issues.
Apparently Dean suffered a medical emergency while he was at home on December 19, 2022. He was taken to the hospital for care.
Dean died within 24 hours surrounded by his wife, Jessica, his children, and emergency personnel.
Dean has been with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department since 2001. He worked in the Independence Division.
