Tyrone Walker, 41, pled guilty to second degree forcible rape and second-degree forcible sex offense on February 21, 2025 for raping a 12-year-old girl in Charlotte, NC. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
The sexual rape occurred on June 25, 2020. Tyrone went into the little girl’s room and raped her.
The girl was brave enough to tell family members. Officers received a 911 call for service in reference to a juvenile sexual assault.
Once police arrived, the girl stated that Tyrone sexually assaulted her earlier in the morning. Tyrone had already fled the scene.
DNA evidence was collected and a rape kit was performed on the victim. Tyrone’s DNA was found near the girl’s private parts.
Tyrone was arrested a month later charged with rape and other sexual offenses.
At 2025 trial Tyrone pled guilty to rape and forcible sex offense. A judge sentenced Tyrone to two consecutive sentences of 77-153 months in prison each.
Tyrone must also register as a sex offender for the rest of his life, he also has a permanent no contact order with the victim who is now a teenager.
