Nate Smith was the road manager to celebrity Kevin Hart for years, he use to host parties at Adams Mark Hotel and the Comedy Zone in Charlotte
Nate Smith died on November 17, 2025 in Atlanta, GA, he was Kevin Hart’s road manager for several years. Nate was from Charlotte, NC. He was the entertainment trendsetter in the 90’s starting with the Comedy Zone where he gave up and coming comedians a chance and platform to showcase their talent.
Nate was found dead in his Atlanta home after not responding to calls. Nate had ongoing heart health complications. In fact Nate was expected to have a heart transplant this year. No foul play is suspected.
Nate launched a event venue promotion business called CJ’s, which hosted after parties at the then Adams Mark motel in Charlotte. Nate eventually became Kevin Hart’s road manager for over 10 years.
Nate leaves behind children and grandchildren, along with loving family and friends. Kevin Hart is super sad about this ordeal, years ago Kevin even joked about Nate on stage during a show.
