CHARLOTTE HORNETS PLAYER JAMES BOUKNIGHT WAS ARRESTED IN UPTOWN PARKING DECK

22-year-old James Bouknight was arrested on October 16, 2022 accused of DWI in Charlotte, NC. James plays shooting guard for the Charlotte Hornets NBA team.

James was allegedly found unconscious in a parking deck in uptown Charlotte moments after midnight. 

Cops saw James, and arrested him charging him with DWI. It is not clear if James was driving a vehicle or simply sitting in a car.

Bouknight went through the jail booking process and was eventually released early Monday morning.

The Charlotte Hornets picked up Bouknight 11th overall in the 2021 NBA Draft. Bouknight was a hoop star for the UConn Huskies in college. 

The Charlotte Hornets released a statement saying,

“We are aware of the incident involving James Bouknight and are in the process of gathering additional information.”
