On Wednesday, August 12, 2020, special agents with the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation’s arrested Harold Mabe, 63, at his home in Stokes County, NC.
Harold is a member of the Stokes County Board of Elections. He has been charged with 12 counts of statutory sexual offense with a child by an adult. He was issued a $1 million dollar secured bond after going before a magistrate in Stokes County.
The SBI began its investigation at the request of the Stokes County Sheriff’s Office on August 6, 2020. The alleged sexual offenses cover a period from 2010 to 2020.
