24-year-old Nicholas Lynch pleaded guilty to 2nd-degree murder, in the killing of his father Oswald Lynch, 59. Nicholas was sentenced to 20 years in prison on June 3, 2021 in Lincoln County, NC.
In February 2018 Nicholas and his father Oswald got into a dispute that led to Nicholas stabbing Oswald in the head and upper body with a large knife. The fight was at a home in Lincoln County, NC.

Oswald was found by cops lying in the front yard with several stab wounds bleeding profusely. Oswald was rushed to a hospital, but was pronounced dead shortly after. Nicholas was treated at the scene for minor injuries and then placed under arrest.
