BIC CORP. EMPLOYEE KILLED ON SITE DURING FORK LIFT ACCIDENT

A BIC Corp. worker died Thursday May 15, 2020 around 8:30 a.m. in an accident involving a forklift at the BIC Corp. distribution center on Long Creek Park Drive Charlotte, NC.

BIC Corp. officials confirmed the employee was at the company’s center in Charlotte when the accident happened. The BIC Corp. worker was killed in an apparent industrial accident involving a forklift, officials say.

First responders pronounced the victim dead at the scene. BIC Corp. called the employee’s death “a tragic accident.”

The victim’s name has not been released and there is no indication on what exactly happened.

Joy Seusing, Vice President of Global Communications at Bic, said the company was devastated to hear about the deadly accident. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is investigating the accident.
