Charles is accused of going to Denjah’s apartment and turning on all rounds of the stove and putting paper on top of them, all while Denjah and her 3 children were in the apartment. Charles had a 4 and 5 year-old kid with Denjah.

Cops say Charles set a fire to another room in the apartment and then stabbed Denjah to death.

Authorities say Charles then left his 2 kids in the burning apartment, along with Denjah’s 10-month-old baby.

Paramedics and the fire department were called. Firefighters were able to rescue all 3 kids from the burning apartment. Denjah was pulled out of the apartment, but she was already dead from stab wounds.

The 10-month-old baby died at the hospital due to cardiac arrest from the fire. The 4 and 5-year-old kids survived and are in stable condition.

Within 24 hours Charles was arrested and charged with two counts of premeditated first degree murder, two counts of attempted first-degree murder and one count of first degree arson.
